“Proceeds from this event will make a huge impact on so many more lives!” said Brian Korb, StreetWise Partners Board member and Event Co-Chair. “StreetWise Partners’ Career Ventures Program matches low-income trainees with some of the area’s best and brightest business professionals. Our 2:1 career mentoring allows us to take every dollar raised so much further since our corporate partners donate not only office space and computers but also many of the volunteers that participate in our 3-month program. We are very thankful to everyone who came out to show their support and make it such a special night!”
“The Raising the Ante event was amazing. It was a great opportunity to not only have a lot of fun with my friends and peers in the financial community but to also help raise funds for StreetWise Partners’ programs that change the lives of hard-working disadvantaged individuals every day,” said John Sabat.
"I had an amazing time at the StreetWise Partners event. The night was perfectly planned and beautifully staged, and to top it off I was thrilled to find myself sitting at a poker table next to New York Knicks legend, John Starks! I always embrace the opportunity to help raise money for people less fortunate than myself but rarely do I have the chance to have so much fun doing it. StreetWise Partners provides unique training and guidance that enables disadvantaged individuals to develop a strong work ethic and pursue successful careers with substantial increases in their income. It's a compassionate, thoughtful and brilliantly run organization that I look forward to providing with my continued support,” said J.R. Havlan.
Raising the Ante was presented by General Atlantic and also sponsored by Paul Weiss, Fidelity National Title Insurance Company, KPMG, Latham & Watkins LLP, Contour Venture Partners, Energy Capital Partners, Jefferies, and Goldman Sachs. Event partners included the Hedge Fund Association and the New York Hedge Fund Roundtable and music was provided by Scratch Events.
