AIMA Canada / ITG Research Award 2014

AIMA Canada is calling for submissions for the 2014 AIMA Canada / ITG Research Award. The award carries a $10,000 cash prize, awarded based on a number of specific criteria, as judged by the Adjudication Panel.

Deadline For Submissions Is 11:59PM, December 31, 2014

The award, now in its eleventh year, recognizes outstanding Canadian research pertaining to any aspect of alternative investments. It is open to academics, students and practitioners who are either residents of Canada or Canadian citizens living abroad. Topics may include, but are not limited to, investment strategy, regulation, trading, risk management, risk measurement and manager selection.

The winning entry will also be eligible for publication, in summary form, in Canadian Investment Review.

Eligible research must have been conducted either by Canadians or non-Canadians who were living in Canada when the research for their paper was conducted. Additionally, to be eligible, the final draft of the paper must have been completed within the current calendar year (2014). Where a paper has multiple authors, each author must meet the eligibility requirements outlined above. The Adjudication Panel consists of academic members from business schools across Canada.

Papers must be submitted to AIMA Canada, no later than 11:59 p.m. on December 31, 2014. Authors of original work that fulfill the guidelines (as detailed here) should forward their papers in the approved (MS Word) format at awards@aima-canada.org. More information can be read on this document and in the guidelines, or may be obtained by contacting AIMA Canada via bsmall@aima-canada.org. For further information, including past research and contest details, please visit the AIMA Canada website here.

The winner will be announced early in 2015.

Best of luck to all participants!
