AIMA Canada invites for media briefing, papers and research award announcements

AIMA Canada Media Briefing

    TORONTO, June 12 /CNW/ -

    What:     AIMA Canada will discuss the state of the Canadian hedge fund
              industry, launch a series of educational papers on hedge fund
              strategies and announce the winner of 2006 AIMA Canada Research
              Award.

    AIMA Canada Chairman Jim McGovern and members of AIMA Canada's Executive
    Committee will provide a briefing on the current state of the $35 billion
    Canadian hedge fund industry and launch a series of educational papers
    outlining various hedge fund strategies, the first two of which are being
    introduced this month. They will also announce the winner of the 2006
    AIMA Canada Research Award, co-sponsored by Maple Financial Alternative
    Investments and Sprott Asset Management and will be available to answer
    questions on industry developments and issues.
