Gluskin Sheff appoints alternative investments strategist |

Gluskin Sheff + Associates Inc. has
appointed Antony Solomon as vice president & strategist, alternative
investments, the wealth management firm said Monday. Solomon
will work in Toronto alongside Bill Webb, executive vice president &
chief investment officer and Jeff Moody, executive vice president,
investments & client service in further developing the company's
focus on alternative strategies. "I am extremely excited to have
Tony join our team. He is an astute investor, and I believe he will
greatly aid the tactical side of our alternative investments business,"
says Jeremy Freedman, president & CEO. Solomon has held
senior positions with TD Securities, as a managing director both in the
debt capital markets and strategic acquisitions areas, and with Merrill
Lynch Canada, where his last position was co-president. Mr.
Solomon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in economics from
McGill University and a Masters of Business Administration degree
majoring in finance from Boston University. Gluskin Sheff
serving high net worth private clients and institutional investors. It
offers equity and fixed income investment portfolios in addition to
being one of the largest managers of alternative investments in Canada.
