The position is new, said spokesman Roland Cross in an interview. Mr. Yepes will develop and strengthen FRM's relationships with U.S. and Canadian institutional investors, investment consultants and other gatekeepers, according to a news release.
Mr. Yepes was managing director and head of U.S. distribution and client relationship management at Man Investments. Brendan McManus, a Man Group spokesman, declined to comment.
Financial Risk Management manages about $9 billion in its hedge funds of funds and customized hedge fund portfolios for institutional and high-net-worth investors.
