On Thursday 2 December more than 250 local, regional and global hedge fund managers and Japanese institutional investors came together at the at the exclusive Roppongi Hills Club for the Tokyo Hedge Funds Club year-end party. The hedge fund community in Tokyo is yet again growing; Japan has seen an increased number of new hedge fund launches this year at the same time as Japanese pension funds have been allocating more money to global hedge fund managers. The by invitation only party, sponsored by J.P. Morgan – Prime Brokerage, Tokyo Stock Exchange, TSI International, Ogier and Capital IQ, was a great opportunity for hedge funds and investors to meet informally over drinks. The next Hedge Funds Club networking event is planned to take place in Hong Kong on 17 March.

The Hedge Funds Club is an informal industry network founded by Stefan Nilsson in 2005. The club’s mission is to promote the Asian hedge fund industry and help it grow by connecting investors and hedge fund managers through networking events in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore. The club has grown into Asia's biggest network for the hedge fund industry. http://www.hedgefundsclub.com
