BluMont Capital Announces Management Change

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 10, 2006) - BluMont Capital Inc. (TSX VENTURE:BCC) announced today that Toreigh N. Stuart, Chief Executive Officer has left the Corporation effective immediately.

Thomas H. Simpson, Chairman said "On behalf of BluMont's board of directors and its employees, I would like to extend our thanks to Toreigh for his tremendous efforts in building the Corporation since 2000 into a leading hedge fund company with approximately $770 million in assets under management".

Mr. Stuart said "I have spent almost six years at BluMont and I now look forward to embarking on a different career avenue. I wish Mr. Simpson and Mr. Kangas, as well as the entire BluMont team, continued success in the growth of the firm".

As Chairman, Mr. Simpson will work closely with Stephen Kangas, President of the Corporation together with the Corporation's senior management. Mr. Simpson was Executive Vice-President and Director for Global Strategy Financial Inc., a mutual fund company that managed and distributed the Global Strategy Investment Funds in association with Rothschild Asset Management Limited, of London England.

Mr. Kangas has been with the Corporation since January 2004 and was appointed President in December 2005.
