SW8 Asset Management Adds Analyst

The Wall Street Journal reports: SW8 Asset Management Inc., a new hedge fund that has generated some strong performance numbers, moved to expand its operations, adding analyst Justin Anis.

Anis joins SW8 from Wealhouse Capital Management, another Toronto-based hedge fund, where he was also an analyst. Headed by Matt Skipp, SW8's flagship SW8 Strategy Fund is up about 16%, net of fees, since its launch in April. Before launching the fund, Skipp led Blackmont Capital's equity trading desk. Blackmont now operates under the name Stonecap Securities. Before that, Skipp was a proprietary trader at RBC Capital Markets.
