Soros Fund Veteran Betsy Battle’s Lone Peak Partners raises $70mm |

New York-based Lone Peak Partners Management LP’s flagship hedge fund
has raised $69.38 million. Lone Peak Partners, a manager of funds of
hedge funds, was founded last year by Betsy Battle who previously worked
at George Soros’ Soros Fund Management. While at Soros, Ms. Battle
oversaw allocations to external hedge fund managers for Soros’ Quantum
Endowment Fund.
Battle, who serves as Lone Peak’s Chief Investment Officer, co-founded
the firm last year along with partners Len Lebov and Peary Stafford.
Mr. Stafford previously worked with Battle in institutional sales at
Citibank and Bankers Trust, while Mr. Lebov was previously a founding
portfolio manager at quant manager JASPAL Asset Management.
According to an SEC filing, the flagship Lone Peak Partners Fund LP has
57 investors who committed more than $250,000 each.
