Morgan Stanley Starts Hedge Fund Services Office in Sao Paulo

Morgan Stanley, the sixth-largest U.S. bank by assets, started a hedge fund office in Sao Paulo that will serve clients in South America, according to an internal memo obtained by Bloomberg News.

Juan Coppola will manage the new prime brokerage office in Brazil and will continue to be based in New York. Marcelo Queiroz will be responsible for clients in the region, and will relocate to Sao Paulo from San Francisco.

The memo was confirmed by Mary Claire Delaney, a Morgan Stanley spokeswoman in New York.
