Harvard’s Ferguson Says Hedge Funds Weren’t Part of the Problem

Harvard University Professor Niall Ferguson said hedge funds don’t need the same regulation as banks and that the funds were not central to the financial crisis. He spoke in an interview with Bloomberg TV in Davos, Switzerland.

“I don’t think you need to regulate hedge funds the same way you need to regulate banks,” he said.
