Pro-Hedge Funds Inc. today announced the appointment of Les Grober as vice president, portfolio manager.

Pro-Hedge says Grober will play an integral role in the construction and monitoring of the firm’s growing portfolio line-up.

“We are very pleased to have Les on board” says Pro-Hedge President & CEO Stuart McKinnon McKinnon. “His vast knowledge and considerable experience will prove a tremendous asset to our existing team of esteemed Managers.”

Most recently Grober was at Polar Securities, where he ran long/short and global macro hedge funds. Previously he was partner, vp and portfolio manager (global equities) at Laketon Investment Management, where he actively managed the U.S. equity mandates, in excess of $500 million. He was also once a member of the Elliott & Page U.S. Equity team, where he managed the Manulife Real Estate Securities Fund as well as their U.S. and international equity index products.

Grober holds the CFA designation and a Masters Degree in Economics from the University of Reading (Reading, England), where he specialized in International Business.
