Hedge funds come together to prevent child abuse

Canada’s hedge fund industry recently held its sixth annual Open Your Hearts to the Children Gala, raising more than $130,000 for the prevention and treatment of child abuse.

Hedge Funds Care Canada drew more than 150 leaders of Canada’s hedge fund industry to the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto on Nov. 4 to bring the total proceeds over the past six years to more than $1 million.

“We are very pleased that all proceeds from the event will go to support local and national foundations that support the prevention and treatment of child abuse,” says Hedge Funds Care Canada president and director Corey Goldman. “The dollars raised this year will have a very positive impact in fighting the scourge of child abuse in this country.”
