Mercer Investment Management, the multi-manager business of investment consultant Mercer, has picked three new alternative asset managers and one property manager.
The alternative managers hired are Global Commodities, H3 Global Advisors and Winton Capital. This is to increase diversity across agricultural commodities, broader commodities and managed futures, respectively, said an official in Melbourne.
The commodities managers have been selected following declines in that sector. Mercer has deliberately chosen managers with a more absolute return orientation, he added.
CB Richard Ellis has joined incumbents AMP Capital Investors andPerennial Investment Partners as an international listed property manager.
Martin Currie and RCM have joined as core overseas equity managers, replacing Alliance Capital Management and Arrowstreet Capital. The official declined to name the reason for the replacements. Officials at Alliance Capital and Arrowstreet declined to comment.
