The IMFC Global Investment program continued its strong performance in October. For the month, the fund was up 19.66 %, 41.14 % YTD. The fund comprises half physical commodities and half financial commodities.

Throughout October, as the fund continued to move up, risk controls steadily scaled back positions in anticipation of the inevitable pullback. By the end of October, the margin to equity was down to 7 %.

Through the IMFC Global Investment Program, IMFC utilizes proprietary systematic trading strategies to invest in long-term price trends in over 60 industrial, agricultural and financial futures markets. The average duration of profitable trades is approximately one year, though they often last anywhere from two to five years with losses cut quickly when they occur. IMFC’s trading is based on an analysis of market statistics that is firmly rooted in both probability theory and post-modern portfolio theory.

IMFC is the managed futures arm of Integrated Asset Management Corp. of Toronto, which has over $3.5 billion in assets under management in private equity, private debt, managed futures, hedge funds and real estate.
