Leeward Capital Hires Client Relations Specialist

Tonilyn Miil joins Leeward Capital Management as a client relationship specialist on Aug. 12. Ms. Miil previously worked as a investor relations manager for Canada’s Synergy Mutual Funds. In her newly created post at Leeward, Ms. Miil will be working with the firm’s marketing chief and vice president of offshore development Tracy Dort-Kyne, according to Brigham Jagger, an investment analyst at the firm. Meanwhile, Toronto-based Leeward has been seeing some of its strongest growth offshore these days. In June, the firm launched its the Cayman-based twin of its long/short Bull & Bear Fund, which trades U.S. and Canadian equities. In its early run, the fund has focused on opportunities across a range of sectors including gold companies and healthcare on the long side and tech and consumer names on the short side.
