Filomenas Fury: Police Record Outdated

Domestic violence and out-of-control rage pervaded the relationship history of Filomena Tobias, the widow accused of murdering her hedge fund millionaire husband Seth Tobias, according to court records.

Information about her marriage to the Circle T founder as well as to an unnamed prior husband was listed in a court document leaked to the press Wednesday.

The document outlined her police record. According to one passage, Seth feared that Filomena was "crazy" and out to kill him. In February 2007, Filomena threw a bottle of wine at Seth. A year earlier, an intoxicated Filomena punched Seth outside a restaurant. In 2003, the unnamed ex-husband filed for a restraining order against Filomena, who punched herself in the head during a dispute about credit card debt and who spat in the face of her then-husband.

The document went on to state that Filomena claimed her erratic behavior was due to her not taking her medication. An undated police mug shot of a distressed, flaxen-haired Filomena was included with the material. In the document, the allegation was made that her violence toward Seth sprang from her feared loss of status and wealth should her volatile marriage to the lavish-living hedge fund star end.

The document is the second legal item to surface from the battle for the Tobias estate this week. On Monday, a text-message exchange between Filomena and Seth in which an irate Filomena cursed and threatened her late husband was released to the media.

The sensational material has emerged amid a battle for the $25 million Tobias estate between Filomena and the Tobias clan, who claim Filomena killed Seth. A onetime assistant to the hedge fund manager named Bill Ash has alleged Filomena drugged Seth, causing him to drown in the swimming pool of his Florida mansion in September. Ash has retained celebrity attorney Debra Opri to represent him as a witness in the upcoming trial for the estate. Filomena has denied she murdered Seth.

Police have not made a ruling on the death. Tobias was 44.
