Albert Hsu, the former hedge fund manager convicted of plotting to have his ex-mistresses kidnapped and raped, is set to enter prison today. The founder of Anchor Point Capital will begin serving a two-and-a-half year sentence.

In October, Hsu pleaded guilty to attempted first-degree kidnapping and trafficking in personal information. Upon his release, he will be on probation for another dozen years, and will have to register as a sex offender.

Hsu admitted he posted an ad on a bondage and sadomasochism Web site seeking a “real-life abduction and rape scene” for his ex-mistress after she ended the affair. Posing as the victim, he listed a variety of personal information, including her license plate number and where she usually stood on the platform at a commuter rail station in their hometown of New Canaan, Conn.

Hsu was originally scheduled to enter prison last month, but his sentencing was delayed. He dropped his motion to spend the holidays with his wife—who has filed for divorce—and children after his victim announced her intention to oppose the bid. He has been barred from New Canaan, where both the victim and his family still live. Since his guilty plea; he has been living with his parents in New York
