Alternative investment manager, Integrated Asset Management Corp., is buying a managed futures firm, according to a recent announcement. The firm entered into an agreement to purchase the operations of Aero Capital Corp., a Toronto-based manager specializing in managed futures. The transaction should be completed shortly and is still conditional on meeting regulatory approval. The acquisition will allow Integrated to offer managed futures products to its clients through a new company called Integrated Managed Futures Corp. Aero President Roland Austrup will become president and shareholder of the new company. Aero’s performance has been double-digit in the last year and on a risk-adjusted basis, the program ranked 22nd out of 475 commodity trading advisers in the Barclays CTA Universe. Integrated Asset Management has more than C$1.3 billion (US$877 million) in assets under management in hedge funds, private equity, private corporate debt and real estate.
