Hedge fund study floated

A bill sitting in the House Ways and Means Committee would create a commission to study the hedge fund and private-equity industries. Introduced by Rep. John Larson, D-Conn., HR 3417 would create a 10-member panel that would explore the tax treatment of those funds, their economic impact and whether better regulations were needed to govern such funds.
