The appetite for hedge fund investments among Nordic institutional investors is as strong as ever, making the Nordic region a market with tremendous potential, believes two investment professionals from Man Investments.

Interest in hedge fund investing is growing among Nordic pension funds and insurance companies, according to industry professionals at Man Investments, one of the largest hedge fund management companies in the world.

“We see a lot of interest from institutional investors who are not happy with the returns they are getting from equity and fixed income. Furthermore, the volatility which has permeated the markets during the summer lead more institutions to want to add to their existing alpha sources,” says Per Künow, Senior Institutional Relationship Manager in Scandinavia at Man Investment Management to HedgeNordic.

Along with Hans Hurschler, Head of Hedge Fund Ventures at RMF Investment Management, a hedge fund asset management company within the Man Group, Künow is currently on a presentation trip in the Scandinavian countries, presenting in detail RMF’s new seeding-based fund of hedge funds product GEM (Global Emerging Managers).
