Former hedge fund manager Albert Hsu pleaded guilty on Monday to attempting to arrange for the kidnap and rape of his former mistress.

Hsu was sentenced to two and a half years in prison, according to a report by The Stamford Advocate. The married father of two co-founded Anchor Point Capital in 2005, but the firm severed its relationship with him after his arrest.

According to prosecutors, Hsu posed as his ex-mistress online and posted a phony personals ad on the S&M Web site collarme.com. The ad stated she had a fantasy of being raped and invited men to kidnap and violate her. Hsu included the woman's name, photograph, address, license-plate number, train schedule and other personal information.

The ad asked would-be attackers not to contact the woman in advance as it would "ruin the fantasy." A New Jersey man who saw the ad did call her, however, at which point the woman notified police who arrested Hsu.

In addition to his prison sentence, Hsu will have to serve parole after his release and register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. He is also banned from ever contacting his victim again.

Hsu has been under psychological treatment for bipolar disorder. The former Cub Scout leader used to be the domestic investment officer for Atlantic Philanthropies and director of investments for the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research.
