Tremont Hedge Fund Index Linked Trust files Preliminary Prospectus

Tremont Capital Management, Corp., the manager of Tremont Hedge Fund Index Linked Trust (the "Trust"), is pleased to announce that it has filed a preliminary prospectus with the securities commissions of all Canadian provinces for an initial public offering of Units of the Trust.

The Offering

The price per Unit is $10 and the minimum purchase is 500 Units ($5,000).

Investment Objective and Strategy

The Trust's investment objective is to provide Holders with an investment return linked to the performance of the CSFB/Tremont Investable Hedge Fund Index ("Investable Index"). The return to the Holders and the Trust will be dependent upon the performance of the Investable Index by virtue of one or more forward agreements to be entered into by the Trust.

CSFB/Tremont Investable Hedge Fund Index The Investable Index is an asset-weighted sub-index of the CSFB/Tremont Hedge Fund Index, the most widely quoted hedge fund index in the world. The CSFB/Tremont Hedge Fund Index comprises ten hedge fund strategies, and the Investable Index is generally composed of the six largest hedge funds in each of these ten categories. At its launch in August 2003, the assets under management of the 60 constituent hedge funds were estimated to be US$ 60 billion.

Management of the Trust

The manager of the Trust is Tremont Capital Management, Corp. (formerly Tremont Investment Management, Inc.), the Canadian subsidiary of Tremont Capital Management, Inc.
