High heels in hedge funds

Who would have thought there could possibly be 6,000 women in the testosterone-filled hedge funds industry.

A group called 100 Women in Hedge Funds, established in 2001, boasts that many members globally, including those who make their money out of hedge funds by selling them services. At least 800 of them are in London, where last night they held their fundraising dinner for The Prince's Trust at the Royal Courts of Justice. Led in London by Heather Lockhart, from Polygon Investment Partners, they were joined by chairman Amanda Pullinger, an executive director and partner in Aquamarine Capital Management. Mentoring awards were presented to Gay Huey Evans, president of Tribeca Global Management Europe and Michael Hintze, chief executive of CQS - a man.
