TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 11/20/06 -- BluMont Capital Inc. (TSX VENTURE: BCC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen J. Kangas as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Mr. Kangas has been with the Corporation since January 2004 and was appointed President in December 2005.

Mr. Kangas (MBA, CA, CFA, CAIA) is widely regarded as one of Canada's leading authorities on mutual and hedge funds. He has over 15 years experience in the financial services and investment industries, having been an executive at Midland Walwyn (now CIBC Wood Gundy), BMO Nesbitt Burns and TD Canada Trust. Prior to joining BluMont, Mr. Kangas ran his own consulting firm offering his expertise to investment management firms and financial advisors.
