Sextant hires business development vp

Deacon experienced in technical research, compliance and sales.

Sextant Capital Management, a specialty hedge fund focused on exotic minerals and resource-based commodities, today announced the appointment of Peter Deacon as vp, business development.

Deacon has extensive industry experience in technical research, compliance and sales via his employment at Dundee Securities and RBC Dominion Securities. Additionally, an assignment with Fieldings Investment Management in the UK has provided him with a European perspective on the needs of the global investment community.

Deacon’s family has been a major participant in the investment industry for over 100 years. He graduated from Northwood University, a private business University in West Palm Beach, Florida with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management.
